The Chemistry and Biochemistry Department of Nazareth University of Rochester, New York, invites applications for a one year renewable Lecturer position to begin August 2024.  The department seeks candidates committed to inclusive pedagogy and excellence in undergraduate education at a comprehensive institution supporting both liberal arts curricula and professional programs. We expect educators with a commitment to affirming the core values of Nazareth College in developing equity minded and socially just leaders.  Applicants should have a M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics, or a closely related field and experience educating diverse populations of students. 

The Nazareth University Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is located in Peckham Hall, a 74,000 square foot facility for integrated math and science. Peckham Hall features state-of-the-art laboratories and facilities in addition to various updated instrumentation available for both research and teaching usage. The successful candidate is expected to teach general chemistry, general physics (algebra based), or general science for non-majors.  Primary teaching responsibilities include contributions to the first year chemistry program (General Chemistry and General Chemistry Lab), algebra based physics, or a general science lecture and lab.

The salary range for the position is $51,682 - $60,802 per year
