Job Details
The Chemistry Department invites applicants for a full-time continuing faculty position (Lecturer) at Barnard College, an independent liberal arts undergraduate college for women in New York City, affiliated with Columbia University. A doctorate in chemistry (in a variety of subfields including analytical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, biochemistry, or chemical education) is required. ABD will be considered. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to teaching a diverse undergraduate student population and an interest in chemical education. Experience leading and managing curricular projects is desired. Responsibilities include teaching general and analytical lecture and laboratory courses, managing laboratory instructional staff, developing curricular materials (including new laboratory experiments), advising students, and participating in diversity initiatives across the College.
