The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy is seeking a highly motivated individual for an open-rank tenure-track or tenured professor position. The ideal candidate will have documented outstanding research experience that is focused on medicinal chemistry; candidates with expertise in chemical biology will also be considered. Aided by a competitive start-up package, the successful applicant is expected to establish and lead an independent laboratory and conduct extramural funding-driven research. Teaching excellence is also expected of the successful candidate, who is expected to teach in the PharmD and Graduate Degree Programs of the School of Pharmacy,
Candidates must have a Ph.D., MD/PhD, or PharmD degree and either postdoctoral training or commensurate experience in medicinal chemistry, chemical biology, chemistry, or a closely related field with existing funding or a clear potential for future extramural funding. Salary for this calendar-year appointment will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
