The Department of Chemistry at American University of Beirut (AUB) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in Analytical Chemistry to begin August 15, 2024.

Successful candidate is expected to establish and lead an independent innovative research program that tackles important contemporary questions in chemistry while also making valuable contributions to the department's teaching mission. The research focus can be in any area of analytical chemistry, including but not limited to instrumentation, environmental and atmospheric chemistry, chemical forensics, clinical chemistry, and bioanalytical chemistry.

Successful candidate will teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, engage in strengthening existing courses and introduce new courses in his/her areas of expertise.

Candidates must have a PhD and at least one year of post-doctoral research experience in analytical chemistry or a closely related field, in addition to a strong record of research accomplishments.
