Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor of Chemistry/Biochemistry

The Department of Chemistry at William & Mary, a public university of the Commonwealth of Virginia, invites applications for a 2-year, non-tenure track Visiting Assistant Professor in Chemistry instructional position that will begin August 10, 2024.  We seek an individual with expertise in Chemistry with a strong preference for Biochemistry and a demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate courses including lectures and labs in general chemistry, organic chemistry I and/or biochemistry. The successful applicant will be expected to be an effective teacher and will have a [3-3] teaching load. 

Required: A Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related field is required at the time appointment begins (10 Aug. 2024). 

Preferred: A Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field at the time appointment begins (10 Aug. 2024) and previous experience in teaching and mentoring undergraduate students are preferred.
