1. Introduction of the research center
Center for 2D Quantum Heterostructures located at SKKU is a newly established center by the Institute for Basic Science. The center aims to synthesize various in-plane 2D quantum heterostructures, fabricate vertical heterostructures with them, and investigate their quantum confinement effect and nontrivial quantum phenomena by establishing 3 research programs. The 3 research programs will be made from following three different materials: (1) Ternary BCxN heterostructures, (2) Transition metal dichalcogenide (TMDs) heterostructures, (3) Carbon-doped hBN. To study the subjects and realize the programs, the center will actively pursue interdisciplinary research by experts in the fields of chemistry, physics, and materials science.

2. Job description
