Job Details
The Department of Chemistry & Forensic Science at Waynesburg University invites applicants for a position in Organic Chemistry beginning August 2024. The Department offers ACS-accredited majors in chemistry, biochemistry, and forensic chemistry. In addition, forensic science, forensic biology, and pharmaceutical science majors are offered. The departmental facilities are furnished with state-of-the-art instruments including 400MHz NMR, LCMS, GCMS, AA, plate reader and a suite of equipment for biochemical work, which are available for coursework and research. Rank and tenure track status will be determined based upon the qualifications, skills and experience of the successful candidate. The candidate must have a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or similarly related discipline, teaching experience preferred. Qualified applicants will be able to show a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate education and be capable of conducting research at the undergraduate level. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong Christian faith, a commitment to the University’s Mission and a demonstrated commitment to that faith through his/her professional responsibilities, relationships, and the mentoring of students.
