The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry (www.sc.edu/chemistry) at the University of South Carolina, Columbia campus, invites applications for a 9-month, full time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in the area of Analytical/Environmental Chemistry to begin August 16, 2025. Broad areas of expertise in analytical/environmental chemistry with experience in aquatic systems are welcome. While we are seeking to hire an Assistant Professor, candidates at all levels are welcome to apply. The minimum qualifications are a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry, environmental chemistry, or a closely related field, with a focus on aquatic systems by the start date of employment. Successful candidates are expected to develop a cutting-edge, externally funded research program and to strive for excellence in teaching undergraduate- and graduate-level courses.
