Job Details
The faculty of The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry (www.sc.edu/chemistry), in the College of Arts and Sciences, at the University of South Carolina, Columbia campus, invites applications for a 9-month, full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of Inorganic Chemistry to begin on August 16, 2025. We are seeking exceptional applicants with a strong research background in inorganic chemistry (broadly defined) and/or materials science to join our department. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in chemistry or closely related field by the start date of employment. The successful candidate is expected to establish a vigorous, internationally recognized, externally funded research program expanding the research mission of the department in new areas of inorganic chemistry, broadly defined. Candidates will teach core courses in chemistry at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
