Applicants are expected to have completed a M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemistry or Biochemistry or an allied field, or should expect to receive their degree by summer 2024. Applicants must have a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate education; highly competitive applicants will have experience teaching undergraduate lecture and laboratory, preferably in General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. Candidates should have strong communication skills and a commitment to using technology to facilitate learning in the classroom and laboratory.

Additional Information:

Our Department offers ACS-accredited B.S. degrees in Chemistry and in Biochemistry. The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry has a vibrant culture of undergraduate student-faculty collaboration in research, including departmental events and guest lecturers, and a large student interest in the health sciences. The salary and benefits for the position are highly competitive.   A thriving STEM community for faculty and students is demonstrated by an annual symposium featuring undergraduate student-faculty research, presentation of scholarly work at professional conferences, excellent graduate school acceptance rates, and a highly successful pre-health professions program.
