Job Details

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Ohio University is seeking applications for an outstanding tenure-track faculty member at the Assistant Professor level with research interests in organic chemistry as broadly defined.

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry has just moved into a purpose-built chemistry building with ample new laboratory space. We invite the applicant to join a vibrant department that works collaboratively to further scientific discovery, as well as graduate, and undergraduate education. A Ph.D. in organic chemistry or related field is required at the time of appointment. A productive postdoctoral research experience will also be considered favorably.

The selected candidate will be expected to establish a nationally prominent and externally funded independent research program and to teach courses in their area of expertise at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
