The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (http://cbe.nd.edu/) at the University of Notre Dame invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor from individuals with specific research interests at the broad intersection of biology and chemical engineering. The successful candidate will lead a research program that addresses forefront problems in biomolecular, biochemical, biomedical, biotechnology, or bioprocess engineering, including but not limited to: systems biology, immunoengineering, synthetic biology, metabolic engineering, biomanufacturing, protein engineering, drug discovery, neural engineering, biomaterials, diagnostics, microbial engineering, and data science.

Position duties include research, teaching, and service. The teaching load in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering is competitive and the position is expected to begin in July 2025. Applications will be reviewed beginning on 10/21/2024.

Qualifications:

Candidates at the assistant level must have completed all requirements for a Ph.D. degree or have completed all but dissertation in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field. Candidates at the associate or full professor level must have a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
