Job Details
Organic Chemistry Professor, Eckerd College. Assistant Professor of Chemistry, tenure-track position, to start August 2025. Ph.D. in Chemistry required. Teach seven courses (3-1-3) per year, with primary responsibility teaching our two-semester organic chemistry sequence (lecture and lab) as well as an advanced course on synthesis and spectroscopy. Expertise and interest in using NMR spectroscopy is welcomed. Candidates will preferably have postdoctoral and teaching experience, be strongly committed to teaching and mentoring undergraduates, and will involve them in a program of research and publication.
Participation in the college's interdisciplinary, values-oriented general education program is required, including a regular rotation in a two-semester first-year course. Eckerd College, the only independent national liberal arts college in Florida, has a tradition of innovative education and teaching/mentoring excellence.
