Job Details

Cottey College, a private liberal arts and sciences college for women, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in organic chemistry, starting August 2025. We seek candidates to teach a range of courses in chemistry with a focus on organic chemistry and courses for non-majors.  The department has a well-funded and maintained teaching laboratory with extensive instrumentation and facilities for a college of its size. Competitive internal funding opportunities are available for summer research grants, faculty professional development, and students doing work with leadership elements. This position includes involvement and advising of pre-health/pre-med students and the opportunity to shape these programs. The successful candidate will have a record of effective teaching, active scholarship, experience in pre-health/pre-med/MCAT career advising or be willing to attend training for such advising, and have an organic chemistry, or closely related subject, doctoral degree in hand by the start of the contract.

Cottey College. Private, two-year residential liberal arts college for women. Capacity for 350 students. Thirty-five full-time faculty with a student-faculty ratio of 9:1.
