The Department of Chemistry at Indiana University (https://www.chem.indiana.edu/) is seeking outstanding applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level to start in fall 2025. A Ph.D. in chemistry or a related field and postdoctoral experience are required. Successful candidates will be expected to develop a visible, externally funded research program. We anticipate making one hire to address research priorities in synthetic organic chemistry, broadly defined, but outstanding applications in any subfield of chemistry will be considered. Primary teaching responsibilities will be consistent with the expertise of the successful candidate and will include both graduate and undergraduate courses. Review of applications will begin October 15, 2024 and will continue until the position is filled. Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, summary of future research plans (3-5 pages), statement of teaching interests (1 page), and a statement of future broader impacts through research, collaboration, and mentoring (1 page). The cover letter may include a description of experiential knowledge that they feel is not conveyed in other parts of their application. Application materials and contact information for three letters of recommendations should be submitted at https://indiana.peopleadmin.com/postings/25361 . More information about the application expectations, including the evaluation rubric, are available at https://www.chem.indiana.edu/about/open-positions/faculty-opportunities/.
