Job Details
Centre College invites applications at the rank of Associate or Assistant Professor for a tenured or tenure-track position in chemistry to begin in August 2025. We seek a teacher-scholar who will enhance our community with their experiences, ideas, perspectives, and scholarship. To be considered, you must have a Ph.D. in the chemical sciences or related field by the time of appointment.

The successful candidate will teach courses within their specialty and assist with teaching courses and labs within the organic sequence. Other courses may include general chemistry and/or courses for Centre’s innovative general education curriculum. Our new colleague will join a collegial and supportive program committed to inclusive teaching practices and to student support beyond the classroom, including individual advising and mentored student research, which is expected and supported. Competitive startup funds are included.
