Job Summary:
A postdoctoral position in the Furman University chemistry department under the direction of Professor George Shields. This is a full-time one-year position, renewable for multiple years. The successful candidate will perform federally funded research with undergraduate students using computational chemistry. The research will utilize state of the art MERCURY high performance computer facilities.
Job Description:
Requirements: Ph. D. in computational or physical chemistry. Knowledge and a strong record of accomplishments in quantum chemistry, conformational analysis, large data sets, and interpretation of spectroscopy is preferred.

The university is located in the vibrant and beautiful upstate region of South Carolina. The Department of Chemistry hosts one of the largest and most active undergraduate research programs in the nation.
