The Department of Chemistry at Vanderbilt University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Bioinorganic Chemistry.

Vanderbilt University is a private university located on 330 park-like acres on the western edge of downtown Nashville, Tennessee. Nashville is a regional center for culture and technology which has been growing alongside the University since Vanderbilt’s founding in 1873.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a Ph.D., awarded no later than August 1, 2025, in Chemistry, with a preference for applicants with a record of excellence in synthetic inorganic or bioinorganic chemistry. Postdoctoral experience in a related field is highly desired. The successful candidate will develop a nationally-recognized research program that complements existing expertise in inorganic and biological chemistry at Vanderbilt University. A strong commitment to research, mentoring, and teaching is expected of any candidate.
