Arcadia's College of Arts and Sciences offers programs in science, technology, math; humanities; visual and performing arts; communications; and historical and political studies. These programs prepare students to be leaders in a global society by providing opportunities to exhibit, perform, and publish. Students are encouraged to present at local, regional and national meetings. The campus has a variety of outlets to support the arts and sciences, including art galleries, a literary magazine, and an online academic journal.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary duties entail teaching and re-envisioning introductory chemistry lectures and laboratories and one or more of the following: biochemistry, advanced inorganic chemistry, polymers, or instrumental analysis, depending on qualifications.
  • Successful candidates will work closely with The Center for Teaching, Learning, and Mentoring (CTLM) to support and improve incorporation of inclusive pedagogies and connections to Arcadia's Adaptive Strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified candidates should possess a Doctorate Degree together with teaching experience that includes an emphasis on student engagement and a focus on promoting student success.

Application Instructions:

  • Applications must be submitted online through Arcadia's Human Resources portal to receive full consideration. Please do not email application materials to the hiring manager. Due to the volume of applications received, communication will generally be limited to candidates selected for additional consideration.
  • Applicants should submit a cover letter, a detailed resume listing qualifications and experiences, a concise description of proposed research involving undergraduate students, a brief statement of teaching philosophy with emphasis on diversity and inclusion, and contact information for three references.
  • Application review will begin immediately. Posting will be removed from the website once we've established a sufficient talent pool for consideration.
