Job Overview
The Department of Chemistry in the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Cincinnati seeks applications to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in biochemistry.  

Essential Functions

  • Develop a vigorous, externally-funded research program that applies innovative approaches, including but not limited to machine learning/artificial intelligence tools,  to address fundamental problems in biochemistry.
  • Teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in chemistry.
  • Advise graduate and undergraduate students.
  • Participate in relevant service to the department, college, and university through active participation in various committees such as but not limited to service on doctoral student committees, graduate admissions, and recruiting. 
  • Collaborate on research in the candidate's area of expertise across the university, including but not limited to the College of Arts and Sciences and the Colleges of Medicine and Pharmacy.

Minimum Requirements
Prior to effective date of appointment, a Ph.D. degree in biochemistry, chemistry, or in a closely related field.
