Based in UWA’s iconic Bayliss Building, the School supports a vibrant, multidisciplinary community pursuing high-quality research, research-led education, and industry engagement.

The Role

The Metcalf Chair in Chemical Biology is a prestigious, research-focused role that will drive an aspiring program across the molecular sciences and will deliver paradigm-shifting research at the intersection of chemistry and biology. The Chair will capitalise on the opportunities for engagement and collaboration across the molecular sciences and across the University.

The Person

We are seeking ambitious researchers within the broader chemistry, biology and molecular sciences spaces, with a passion for driving game-changing research. The Chair will be a future orientated leader who initiates cross-disciplinary research activities in local, national, and international arenas. They will be an effective, inclusive, supportive leader, capable of attracting external funding and developing high-performing research staff while building and maintaining strong relationships with national and international granting bodies, relevant government agencies, industry, philanthropic donors, research collaborators and professional and community organisations.
